This year’s Disability Policy Seminar (DPS) is coinciding with some remarkable anniversaries. In 2015 we are set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 50th anniversary of Medicaid and Medicare. The passage of this transformative legislation would not have been possible without the hard work of congressional leaders and disability advocates, like you! We can celebrate these monumental achievements, but we can’t stop there.

How will the passage of the ABLE Act affect you? How is the legislation going to be carried out in your state? Attending DPS will help you understand these questions and get the answers. This year’s program is designed to prepare you and give you an accurate sense of what is happening in Congress. Attending DPS will arm you with the important education, housing, and Medicaid/Medicare policy information that you need to take back to your home state and share with your fellow constituents.
